ARTWORK SPECIFICATIONS

• Emails received without proper identification will result in delay in production. All artwork emails must include Distributor name and P.O.# in subject line. Please also include the imprint name, contact name and email address for proof in the body of your email.
• Preferred art format is MAC, Adobe Illustrator, Vector EPS, 300 dpi resolution (no raster images)
• Provide fonts or create text to outlines. No halftones, screens, gradients or overlapping art.

CUSTOMIZATION OPTIONS

• Combined Customization Discount: deduct 50% off of the imprint cost for books that include a second customizing option (Promo-Page or Belly-Bad Wrap). All set up fees apply.

Cover Imprint: method is 1-color pad printing with ink on a book's front cover or book jacket, as noted.

• Based upon the book's design and your artwork, our Art Department will use its discretion to size and place your logo for optimal appearance and imprint quality.
• Standard imprint colors: BLACK, WHITE, BLUE, RED, GREEN, YELLOW, GOLD, SILVER
• White imprint over a dark color is not recommended. Avoid art with large solid areas and reversed type. No halftones or screens.
• Very small details (i.e. registered trademarks, etc) are not guaranteed to be legible.
• IMPORTANT - Please remember that picture frames can be oriented either vertically and horizontally. The customer must specify the orientation and location of the imprint with their order. Please provide a product drawing with location and size of imprint required.

Foil Stamp/Blind Deboss: Journals only

• Standard colors are Gold and Silver
• Very small details (i.e. registered trademarks, etc) are not guaranteed to be legible.

Laser/Diamond Engraving: Frames only

• IMPORTANT - Please remember that picture frames can be oriented either vertically and horizontally. The customer must specify the orientation and location of the imprint with their order. Please provide a product drawing with location and size of imprint required.

Promo-Page Insert (Tip-In): a custom page adhered (glued-in) to a book's 1st or 2nd page, depending on the binding of the book selected.

• Pages are printed on a high quality, full-color process (CMYK) laser printer.
• Preferred art file format is Press quality PDF, All images at 300 dpi resolution, full .1875" bleed 
• Avoid heavy ink saturation and dark background colors.
• All Promo Pages are printed on 28lb 112 Bright White paper. Precise dimensions will be determined by the actual size of the book and may differ slightly from the e-proof.

Custom Book Jacket: a full-color jacket wrapped around any hardcover book.

• Jackets are printed on high quality, full-color process (CMYK) laser printer on gloss paper stock without lamination.
• A physical proof is required for this customizing method. (FedEx fees are included in set-up)
• Artwork areas include the front cover, back cover, spine and jacket flaps. Inquire for dimensions.
• Preferred art file format is Press quality PDF, All images at 300 dpi resolution, full .1875" bleed 
• This option is not available for oversized books larger than 10.5" x 12". Inquire to confirm.
• Custom Jackets and Belly-Bands are printed on 100lb gloss text paper and are not coated. Precise dimensions will be determined by the actual size of the book and may differ slightly from the e-proof.

Belly-Band Wrap: a full-color belly-band wrapped around a book and secured in the back.

• Belly-band must be removed and discarded for book to be opened.
• Belly-bands are printed on high quality, full-color process (CMYK) laser printer on gloss paper stock without lamination.
